A three-day strike by ground handlers at Heathrow, which was due to start on Friday (16 December), has been called off.
Around 400 members of Unite, who work for private contractor Menzies, had planned to walk out at 4am in a dispute over pay.
Unite said it suspended the strike as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ after a new pay offer was made.
The union will now put the new offer to members.
Heathrow had previously said it expected the strike to have little impact on passengers.
