Hays Travel has launched a recruitment drive as it looks to expand its network and cash in on the expected rebound of travel.
The retailer said it is seeking ‘ambitious and motivated’ people who are ‘passionate about travel’.
The offer is open to existing agents and those who are keen to become a travel agent for the first time.
A 34-page marketing manual sets out the benefits for potential agents.
Hays Travel Retail Director Jane Schumm said: “The time is right now for small businesses to think about how to increase their profitability and be ready for the bounce-back from the pandemic and know they will be supported with all the regulatory requirements in this sector.
“We’ve seen our franchise work successfully already and we know it is a viable option that brings all the benefits of being part of the Hays Travel family while retaining independence.”
Hays said a franchisee is given help in securing premises, trading intelligence, weekly meetings, along with ongoing advice and practical assistance of running a Hays Travel shop.
The retailer said it is not targeting a specific number of new recruits.
