Luxury cruise line Silversea is reported to have bought the former Crystal Cruises’ expedition ship, Crystal Endeavor.

Silversea hasn’t confirmed the purchase, but it has filed patents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to rename the ship Silver Endeavor.

Crystal Cruises collapsed earlier this year due to the financial difficulties of its parent company, Genting Hong Kong, only six months after the launch of Crystal Endeavor.

Silversea already operates four ships, Silver Wind, Silver Cloud, Silver Explorer, and Silver Origin.

Crystal Endeavor includes a fleet of 18 zodiac boats, enabling it to explore remote areas, and a u-boat cruise submarine with seating for up to six guests, 14 kayaks and an ROV used to explore below the ship.
