A 21-year-old travel agency that specialised in organising pilgrimages to Mecca has collapsed.
UK Hajj & Umrah Services Ltd, based in Forest Gate in East London, was wound up at the request of HMRC.
HMRC, which has the power to liquidate a business that owes more than £750 in tax arrears, filed a petition for the ATOL-holder to be wound up last April.
The order was granted by the High Court on 8 November.
The Civil Aviation Authority said that UK Hajj & Umrah services, which traded online as cheaphajjandumrahdeals.com, ceased trading as an ATOL holder on 9 January.
It added: “We are currently collating information from the company and will update this page as soon as possible.”
The business was run by Maqbool Khan, Mohammad Khan and Gulfraz Mansha.
