Grenada Tourism Authority has welcomed Emil Edwards to the newly created role of Sales Manager in the UK.
He joins as the tri-island state looks to boost its trade representation on the ground.
Mr Edwards joined the GTA in Grenada in June 2021 and has spent the past eight months working closely with CEO Petra Roach ahead of his arrival in the UK.
Ms Roach said: “Emil’s arrival in the UK demonstrates our continued commitment to the UK, a market in which we see significant growth potential.
“We’ll be focussing our efforts on giving tour operators and travel agents all of the tools they need to be experts on our beautiful tri-island state.
“We’re investing heavily in our resources to ensure that Grenada has the best representation on the ground and having Emil there to work alongside our agencies is testament to that.”
Mr Edwards will work in collaboration with The PC Agency and Black Diamond who manage Grenada’s PR and marketing respectively.
On the agenda are plans to host up to 20 agents and operators on fam trips.
Grenada has recently relaxed its entry requirements for vaccinated travellers and now accepts either a 24-hour negative antigen test result taken one day before travel to Grenada or a 72-hour pre-departure PCR test.
All travellers must also submit a Travel Health Declaration Form to the Ministry of Health.
