Special assistance workers at Gatwick have postponed strike action due to start later this week.

The 200 workers, employed by Wilson James, have agreed to suspend industrial action from 12 to 14 July and 19 to 21 July while they ballot on an improved pay offer.

If it is rejected, fresh industrial action will be re-scheduled, the union Unite announced.

Yesterday, baggage security screeners employed by ICTS, who had been due to strike on the same dates, suspended industrial action while members are balloted on a new offer.
