Barrhead Travel welcomed G Adventures to its Glasgow city centre head office this week for a day of product learning.

G Adventures Global Purpose Specialist Jen Watson and Marketing Executive Aneesha Sudharsanan delivered product updates and tour information to more than 100 Barrhead staff, incuding agents and head office teams.

The day kicked off with a presentation before adventure-style games and quizzes, and Barrhead staff also helped to raise money for Planeterra, G Adventures’ non-profit partner, through a charity tombola.

The event marks the beginning of Barrhead Travel’s own Touring & Adventure month, where the group plans to promote the benefits of this type of travel and showcase special offers and booking incentives. 

Barrhead Product & Commercial Director Caroline Donaldson said: “Partnerships are so important to us and there’s really nothing better than bringing products to life through face-to-face interaction and creative engagement. 

“We loved having G Adventures take over Libertas House this week. They’ve been a key partner in the development of our Touring & Adventure division and we’ve got plenty of exciting collaborations on the horizon.”

Barrhead said it is trading up 55% for touring and adventure product this year, following more than 80% growth during 2023, the launch year of its standalone Touring & Adventure division.
