A three-day strike by France’s air traffic controllers next week has been called off.

The industrial action was expected to have caused heavy disruption to flights to and from France next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

It might also have caused delays and cancellations to flights elsewhere in Europe that travel through French air space.

A strike last Friday by ATC staff in France grounded almost 3,500 flights.

However, the French air traffic controllers union told local media they had called off next week’s planned industrial action after reaching an agreement on pay and bonuses with France’s civil aviation authority.
