The Foreign Office has urged Britons heading to Spain to check with their airline or operator before travelling in case of possible strike action.
An advisory was issued on Friday (19 May) afternoon, warning travellers about disruption to flights and onward travel.
The FCDO said: “Disruption to flights and onward travel may occur because of possible strike action. You should consult your airline or tour operator for updates prior to travel.”
Spanish pilots’ union SEPLA has confirmed eight strike days in late May and early June and is considering more strike action later in the summer.
Flights with airlines including Ryanair, easyJet and Jet2 may be affected.
Air traffic controllers, flight attendants and ground transportation could reportedly join future industrial action, according to the Majorca Daily Bulletin.
