The UK Foreign Office has updated its advice for British travellers to Sri Lanka following the country’s introduction of an online arrival card system.
The FCDO said: “The Department of Immigration and Emigration have introduced an online arrival card system which foreign nationals can complete three days prior to arrival in Sri Lanka.
“All visitors need to comply with the guidelines imposed for tourists by the Government of Sri Lanka.”
The FCDO says that, although on-arrival visas are available, visitors are advised to apply online for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter Sri Lanka.
“Further information on eligibility is available on the Department of Immigration and Emigration website,” it adds.
