Travellers are being warned of possible flight delays and cancellations in Italy on Friday (24 November) due to a national airport strike.

The Foreign Office (FCO) has issued a warning stating that a  ‘24-hour national strike of airport, airline and ground handling staff is expected on 24 November’.

Avio News in Italy reported that airport, airline and ground handling staff who are members of the unions Federazione lavoratori aeroportuali italiani (FLAI), Unione sindacale di base (USB) and Confederazione unitaria di base (CUB) will be striking from midnight on Friday.
