Eurostar trains will not stop in Kent until 2023 at the earliest, the company has confirmed.
The train operator ceased calling at Ashford and Ebbsfleet in March 2020, meaning all cross-Channel train passengers have to board and alight at St Pancras in London.
Eurostar had indicated earlier that it would resume stops in Kent next year, but a spokesperson told the BBC: “We can confirm that our Kent stations will remain closed throughout 2022.
“As the business starts its recovery, we need to focus on core destinations where demand is highest.
“We will review the decision towards the end of next year.”
