Eurostar is warning that trains between London and Paris are suffering from major disruption today due to an IT problem with UK Border Force in Paris Gare du Nord.

It said trains from both Paris and London are likely to be subject to delays or cancelled at the last minute.

Many families returning from half-term holidays in Paris and the rest of France are caught up in the disruption at the French Eurostar terminal.

To try to reduce the crowds, Eurostar is offering passengers the option to change their tickets for a different date or time free of charge.

It added: “We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

The issue follows a technical issue with the Border Force e-gates on Wednesday evening at both the Paris and Brussels’ Eurostar terminals, which also caused delays.
