Eurostar cancelled two more London-Paris trains today as nationwide strike action in France continues to impact the train network.

The Channel Tunnel train operator cancelled the 13:31 and 19:01 trains due to leave London for Paris, and the 11:13 and 16:13 trains scheduled to leave Paris for London.

Disruptions are expected on other services as thousands of people have taken to the streets of Paris to protest against soaring prices and high inflation, some of whom clashed with police yesterday (Tuesday).

Only one in two trains were running on Tuesday in the southern region rail network and  there were reports of disruptions on high-speed trains in the north and on inter-city trains linking France with Spain.

Long-distance TGV trains were only marginally affected.
