EasyJet will launch a year-round service between Liverpool and Malta in December.
The twice weekly flights, starting on 10 December, will operate on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Packages will also be available to book through easyJet holidays, with a mix of all-inclusive resorts to adult-only hotels.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport Aviation Director Paul Winfield said: ““With just 9% of all flights to Malta from the north-west currently served from Liverpool, this route has significant opportunity to grow from here.”
EasyJet has seven aircraft at Liverpool, from where it carries about two million passengers a year.
