EasyJet holidays is allowing families with Spain bookings up to 31 December that include children aged 12-17 to cancel for free.
The revised policy means for anyone who now cannot meet the entry requirements for Spain by providing proof of vaccination status for 12 to 17-year-olds can cancel and receive a full refund.
The new move is in addition to allowing customers fee-free amends or cancelling their booking for easyJet holidays credit.
EasyJet holidays is also extending its offer for customers travelling to all destinations between 18 and 31 December 2021 to amend their holiday fee-free or to cancel for easyJet holidays credit.
Customers have up to midnight on Sunday 5 December to amend bookings. The company had already introduced this option for bookings due to depart before 17 December.
All other customers due to travel in 2022 and beyond will be covered under easyJet holidays’ Protection Promise, which means the balance doesn’t need to be paid until 28 days before departure and customers have the option 28 days before travel to cancel their holiday and keep their deposit as an easyJet holidays credit.
EasyJet holidays Director of Customer and Operations Matt Callaghan said: “We’re introducing this new flexible policy to support customers with teenagers on their bookings who may not be able to provide proof of full vaccination which travelling to Spain currently requires.
“We’re also extending our cancellation for credit or free amend options for all other customers set to travel over the festive period.”
