The iconic Disneyland Hotel is to be completely refurbished as part of a strategy by Disneyland Paris to revamp all of its hotels.

The overhaul was announced as the final touches are made to Disney’s Hotel New York – the Art of Marvel, which is due to re-open soon.

Disneyland Paris will be the first Disney hotel to have a royal theme and the public areas will be refurbished to ‘pay homage’ to Disney princes and princesses from classic movies such as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty to modern favourites Frozen and Tangled

All hotel rooms and suites will be entirely re-themed to offer ‘the most immersive experience’, said Disney.

“At Disneyland Paris, we create enchanting experiences for all ages,” said Sylvie Massara, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris – Design and Show Quality. “The completely refurbished Disneyland Hotel will do just that, immersing guests in a timeless royal atmosphere.

“Guests will be welcomed with unique refinement as soon as they enter the lobby and will stay in rooms and suites with elegant décor celebrating Disney Princesses and Princes.”

The hotel pool area and spa will also be enlarged and the restaurant and bars will be updated.

“When it reopens, Disneyland Hotel will offer to our guests an enhanced experience even more worthy of the prestigious French five-star hotel rating,” added General Manager Tomás Feier.
