Disney Cruise Line is building a sister ship to Disney Wish to operate year-round cruises from Japan from 2029.

The ship’s design will include modifications with Japanese guests in mind, said Disney. It will be operated by Japanese firm Oriental Land Co (OLC), which owns the Tokyo Disney Resort.

Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro said: “Disney Cruise Line has ambitious plans to bring family vacations and Disney storytelling to more guests around the world than ever before.

“We are thrilled to continue the success of this expansion as we collaborate with Oriental Land Co to introduce another distinctly Disney vacation experience to families and fans in Japan.”

Further details on itineraries and onboard experiences will be announced at a later date.
