Classic Collection is introducing new concierge-style features to elevate its customer experience for summer 2023.

A new in resort 24-hour concierge rep service will be managed from three service hubs located in the UK, Spain and Italy.

Luxury private transfers and meet-and-greet services will be provided for all clients, and there will be a new WhatsApp service for guests.

From 1 April, all Classic Collection bookings made will receive VIP airport lounge access as standard along with up to 23 kgs of hold luggage per passenger.

Following agent feedback, Classic Collection will be sending out revamped travel wallets and travel paperwork and there will also be a new feedback capture tool.

The operator unveiled the new initiative, called Classic Concierge, to 20 of its top-selling agents on a VIP trade partner trip in Majorca this week.

Director of Agency Sales and Marketing Si Morris-Green said: “With our new Classic Concierge concept we aim to align all of our external suppliers to deliver world class service.

“Our European service hubs will be responsible for the service provided in their regions.

“Regional managers located in the UK, Spain and Italy will ensure that the best possible experience is delivered consistently across our European programme.

“Our long haul programme will continue to be covered by our carefully chosen destination partners who are amongst the most respected operators in the business.”

Si told Travel Gossip that agents on the VIP trip ‘loved the concept and were particularly pleased that lounge access is to be included on bookings’.

He added: “In a crowded marketplace consistently good customer service is everything.

“By providing the best possible pre-departure and in resort service to our customers we’ll increase retention and loyalty.

“Happy customers will be more likely to engage in brand advocacy for both Classic Collection and our trade partners through which our bookings are made.

“Having a clear and consistent customer service proposition is key to our mutual success moving forward.”

Classic Collection was one of the big winners at the inaugural Travel Gossip awards, winning three gongs, for Favourite Luxury Operator, Favourite Supplier Call Centre and Favourite Trade Sales Team.
