Classic Collection Holidays has created a 52-page guide to the Caribbean as it seeks to arm agents with more nuanced information and promote the diversity of the destination.
The operator said the guide will showcase the extensive activities, attractions and product so consultants can better advise their clients.
Most selling tools for the trade are usually are too shallow and provide little detailed information, the operator said.
“Many brochures simply list hotels and highlight the quality of the beaches. Our guide offers much more insight by focusing on the huge variety that the Caribbean islands has to offer,” Director of Product and Commercial Alex Gavalda said. “After a prolonged period without travel, it’s reasonable to suggest that customers will be looking for the best possible advice and more than just a simple beach holiday.”
He said the guide, which is designed for first-time sellers of the Caribbean in addition to experienced specialists, follows the positive feedback generated by the launch of a similar publication on the Maldives.
“It was a natural progression to create similar in-depth content to help our agent partners sell those regions of the Caribbean which are key to the UK market,” Mr Gavalda said.
The guide has been created by Classic Collection product and sales teams, and showcases the best twin and multi-centre island-hopping combinations, highlights the various activities on the islands and contains top tips from experts.
There are features on the best family, couples, all-inclusive and group holidays along with in-depth guides on dining out, boutique and luxury properties and the islands’ beaches.
“As a specialist in luxury holidays, the Caribbean is an important part in the continued growth of our longhaul product,” Mr Gavalda said. “We’re featuring properties with the quality that agents and customers associate with our brand. At Classic we continue to do what we’ve always done: to support agents in winning the trust of new customers and retaining existing ones.”
