The lifeguard of a popular Tenerife hotel has been praised by a mum after he rescued her four-year-old son from drowning.
He pulled the boy’s lifeless body from the hotel pool and revived him with CPR, according to local reports.
The boy was conscious again by the time paramedics arrived to take him to hospital for routine observation.
His mum told Canarian Weekly that the lifeguard at Alexandre Hotel La Siesta was ‘an absolute hero’.
The four-star hotel in Playa de las Americas is popular with British tourists and featured by several UK operators including Jet2holidays, TUI and easyJet holidays.
