Travel Counsellors experienced its best-ever February last month when sales topped £73 million.

It said that sales over the past four weeks are 30% up on 2019, with booking values up 25%.

Sales for some long-haul destinations, such as the Indian Ocean, UAE, including Dubai (pictured above), and Caribbean are more than double pre-pandemic levels, it said.

The top destinations for travel in April are Spain, the US and Maldives, while for summer 2022 it’s the US, Greece and Spain.

More than half of customers are booking for travel before the end of May, but sales for 2023 are 70% higher than sales of 2020 by the same period of 2019.

Corporate travel is also up 8% on last week and now at pre-pandemic levels, said Travel Counsellors.

More than 500 of its sales consultants had their best ever January and February, while the number of new customers is up 40% year on year.
