Blue Bay Travel has launched a podcast to deliver ‘insider guides’ and listeners’ true stories.
The Check-In Desk podcast will be released on the last Wednesday of every month and will cover tips and advice on destinations in the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Europe and the Far East.
The first episode, Best Things To Do In Mexico, will drop today.
Hosted by Blue Bay Travel Content Executive Tom Spruce and Marketing Assistant Jo Ball, each episode will cover the best things to do in a selected holiday spot.
Tom and Jo will take it in turns to create a ‘dream’ itinerary for that destination. Listeners can also expect to hear funny travel tales of woe from holidaymakers and enjoy light-hearted travel debates covering topics such as ‘Is it ever acceptable to go barefoot on a plane?’
Host and Blue Bay Travel Content Executive, Tom Spruce, said: “The podcast is a perfectly candid one-stop shop for holiday highs, lows and where-to-gos. It’s packed to the rafters with insider knowledge, silly stories and shared frustrations. Where other travel podcasts are the elegant hotel lobby, we’re the fun-filled pool bar.”
Jo added: “We started the podcast as another way to engage with our customers and travel agent partners. Holiday research is increasingly being conducted via multiple platforms, podcasts being a growing one, so we wanted to create a space where we can share our travel knowledge and expertise in a fun, engaging and easy-to-digest format.
“Initially we will be focusing on delivering that combination of entertainment and education. However, in time, we hope to open out the format and collaborate with other brands and travel agents with particular areas of expertise, to showcase even more about the top travel destinations from those in the know.”
The Check-In Desk will be available on all major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Tune-In, Google Podcasts, and Pocket Casts.
