Barrhead Travel has appointed Sharon Watson to a new position of Head of Product.

Sharon will oversee all product for the travel group as part of a streamlined approach, including cruise, package and worldwide.

The existing product teams, which previously reported into business development heads, will move into one product team while the business development teams will focus solely on partner relationships and engagement.

Sharon joins from She joins from Travel Zing, a managed partner of Barrhead Travel, where she was a Director. Before that, she spent eight years at Planet Cruise including as Commercial and Marketing Director, then General Manager, before becoming Head of Offline Market for Planet Cruise and

“Last year, we launched our Touring & Adventure division which was followed by the creation of US department this year. Consumer demand for standout itineraries and unforgettable experiences means there is still plenty of opportunity to diversify our product.
