Barrhead Travel has invested £1million in the relocation of its headquarters to new premises in Glasgow city centre.

Previously located in Glasgow’s Oswald Street, the move will see Barrhead’s sales support functions and some specialist sales division relocate to the fifth floor of the historic building on St Vincent Place.

The new offices are expected to be ready in the fourth quarter of the year.

Barrhead Travel President Jacqueline Dobson said: “The new office opening and the renewed demand for the expertise of a travel agent marks the start of an exciting new chapter for Barrhead Travel as our industry moves away from the challenges of the pandemic.

“We’re a people-first business and our new HQ is designed around accommodating a modern approach to office life with hybrid working opportunities, new technology, and accessibility at the heart of it.

“Our commitment to investing in the high street and investing in our people has never wavered. We plan to continue aiming for sustainable growth over the next few years and are looking forward to, what will hopefully be, the first unrestricted peak trading season after Christmas.”
