Cricket supporters club Barmy Army has set up its own in-house tour operator offering packages to England cricket fans.
Barmy Army Travel, launched with investment from Sportsbreaks, says it’s keen to sell through travel agents, who already account for one in four of Sportsbreaks’ bookings.
Barmy Army Managing Director Chris Millard said it will offer cricket fans an official ‘one stop shop’ package which includes flights, accommodation, and airport and stadium transfers.
“We took the decision to move our tour operation in-house to create a seamless experience for our members, while enabling us to ensure the best value for money for our growing Barmy Army community of sports fans,” he said.
He also revealed plans to get into wider sports travel with tour packages outside of cricket, kicking off on 16 December with a trip to Alexandra Palace for the PDC World Darts Championship.
