Fully vaccinated travellers to Barbados won’t have to take a COVID test to enter the country in a rule change that comes into force this week.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley told a weekend press conference that the new rules apply from Wednesday 25 May and should result in speedier processing time at Grantley Adams International Airport.
The changes come as over 70% of the eligible population in Barbados is fully vaccinated.
Masks remain mandatory indoors and on public transport but are now optional outdoors.
Unvaccinated travellers must still present a negative COVID test to enter Barbados.

The new rules were announced shortly after Virgin said it was dropping plans to resume its Edinburgh-Barbados service.
