British Airways is to launch flights to the German city of Nuremberg next month.

The airline will operate four flights each week from Heathrow, starting from 27 March, rising to six flights from 1 May.

The frequency will revert to four weekly flights on 30 October.

British Airways Director of Networks and Alliances Neil Chernoff said customers are looking for new destinations after 20 months of travel restrictions.

“The addition of this route to our short-haul network ahead of the summer season is perfect timing for anyone who would like to plan their trips for the year ahead,” he said.

“Nuremburg offers something for everyone, ranging from sightseeing in the sunshine to exploring the German markets at Christmas, so we hope our customers take full advantage of this new destination to our network.”
