British Airways is looking into allegations that a member of its cabin crew got into a boozy fight in a luxury hotel during a layover in the Maldives.
The flight attendant was allegedly ordered to return immediately to the UK after resort staff and guests complained about the behaviour of her group.
The unnamed staff member had been staying at the OBLU Xperience Ailafushi with other crew members following a flight from London’s Heathrow to Male.
She was accompanied by her daughter and a friend and, according to a report in The Sun, other guests complained about ‘screaming and screeching’ from the balcony of their villa late one night last week.
A fight is alleged to have broken after hotel management warned the group about their behaviour.
BA said it is ‘currently investigating the matter’. The flight attendant is understood to have flown home last Wednesday, followed by her daughter and friend the following day.
Last month, BA fired two cabin crew for a racist social media post they’d filmed during a layover in Antigua 18 months earlier.
