Two British Airways cabin crew have been suspended after claims they mocked a colleague’s weight.

The pair allegedly exchanged cruel WhatsApp messages about the 15-stone crew member in a staff chat.

After she was shown the messages, the woman reported the exchange to BA bosses, according to The Independent.

The two crew members involved were immediately suspended pending an investigation, said the newspaper.

It claimed that some flights departed with fewer crew than planned as a result.

BA is also understood to be investigating the behaviour of five other crew involved in the group chat.

A spokesperson told The Independent: “We have a zero-tolerance approach to bullying and always fully investigate any allegations brought to our attention.”

Earlier this year, BA fired two crew members for a racist Instagram post, after it was shared 18 months later on TikTok.
