British Airways has officially arrived at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The airline’s inaugural flight from Heathrow touched down just after 19:30pm local time on 5 June.

The Ohio city becomes the 27th American destination served by BA.

The service will operate five days a week during the summer, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

During the winter it will operate four times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

BA Director of Networks and Alliances Neil Chernoff said: “When we look at the Cincinnati region we see a vibrant part of the US with a great mix of business and leisure travellers who have long asked for more international service and global connectivity, which is what made it so attractive to us and why we’re confident this new route will be a success.”
