Asia specialist Inside Travel Group is looking to work with more travel agents to expand its business.
Director and co-founder Simon King said its business through the trade had recovered faster from the downturn during COVID-19 than its direct bookings.
Currently, travel agents account for 20% to 25% of Inside Travel Group’s bookings, but Simon said he expects this to grow to around 35% by 2026.
“It is absolutely one of our aims to work closely with travel agents, it’s a very good relationship to have,” he said. “Our travel agent business is coming back faster and we expect to increase that.”
Bristol-based Inside Travel Group started out as a Japan specialist operator but later expanded into the rest of southeast Asia. It now operates two brands, InsideJapan Tours and InsideAsia Tours.
