Holland America Line has become the latest cruise operator to introduce an initiative to cut the cost of flying to the Mediterranean next summer.

It has launched a Fly & Cruise offer that includes a £400 flight credit and transfers.

The promotion, which lasts until 15 November, is available on selected departures from April to October 2024 aboard Nieuw Statendam and Oosterdam.

The air credit is valid for the first and second guests in a stateroom when flights are booked through Holland America Line’s Flight Ease programme.

Free transfers are available for up to four guests in the same stateroom.

Fly & Cruise can be combined with the Explore with More offer, which includes Holland America Line’s Have It All package, adding the amenities of beverages, specialty dining and wife, as well as reduced kids fares on select sailings and $100 shore excursion credit per person. 

The HAL initiative follows the revelation that Princess Cruises has taken an allocation of seats on British Airways’ flights from the UK to the Mediterranean from next February for passengers joining Sun Princess in Barcelona, Rome or Athens.
