The UK’s newest cruise line, Ambassador, has joined ABTA.
Announcing the move, Ambassador has confirmed that guests’ money will be financially protected by a Financial Failure Insurance policy, managed by TMU Management.
It said all guests will automatically be transferred to the new scheme from today.
The cruise line said in a statement that it has ‘put financial protection at the heart of its offering since its inception and will continue to pay consumer deposits and balance payments into an independently managed trust account’.
It said it is using ‘unique, intuitive technology’ to provide ‘real-time data’ to insurers.
The cruise line was launched in May last year by the former management team of Cruise & Maritime Voyages following its collapse.
This week Ambassador announced it has recruited Nicola Harper from homeworking group Aquilium Travel to the newly-created role of Head of Distribution and experienced public relations executive Ian Benjafield as Head of Communications.
