Visitors to Ireland must show a negative test for COVID-19 from the end of this week.
The Irish government has updated its advice to say that anyone arriving after 00:01 on Friday 3 December must comply with the new rule.
Those who have a digital COVID certificate to prove they’ve been vaccinated or have recently recovered from COVID can show a negative antigen test carried out no more than 48 hours before arrival, or a negative PCR test, carried out no more than 72 hours before arrival.
People with no COVID certificate must take a PCR test carried out no more than 48 hours before arrival in Ireland.
