A &K Travel Group (AKTG) has named a new Managing Director for the UK as part of the next stage of the company’s management restructure.
Andrew Burrett will become Abercrombie & Kent’s MD in addition to his current role as Chief Financial Officer of AKTG, which operates A&K and cruise brand Crystal.
He will continue to be based in A&K’s London office.
His appointment follows the departure, announced in May, of A&K Global Chief Tour Operating Officer Kerry Golds.
AKTG said Andrew’s appointment, along with several others in different global markets, will ‘build on the One A&K strategy that will connect and synergise its markets and brands by establishing new global roles connecting both A&K and Crystal across the world’.
In addition, AKTG has created the role of Chief Sales Officer and promoted Marett Taylor, who will take up the position with immediate effect.
Marett joined Abercrombie & Kent in 2000 and served in sales and marketing roles in east Africa, southern Africa and Europe.
Since 2013, she has led the US sales team as the Vice President of Sales, supporting travel agents in North America.
Meanwhile, Amy Weyman becomes MD of A&K’s US operation, while A&K Australia MD Debra Fox has taken on additional responsibilities as Executive Vice President of Trade Sales Asia Pacific for A&K and Crystal.
AKTG CEO Cristina Levis said: “A&K Travel Group is now geared up for its next chapter of growth, with one of the industry’s finest leadership teams.”
