Not Just Travel says Sunday 30 January was its busiest for bookings so far and one homeworking agency making £4,000 in commission.
NJT reported bookings were up 7% on its previous busiest Sunday, in January 2020, while total sales were also up 7% on the previous record best Sunday, set earlier this month.
Co-Founder Steve Witt said he expected today, Monday 31 January, to break records again, as people have been paid after Christmas.
“Confidence is high,” he said.
“We expect today (Monday 31 January) to be a phenomenal day – people have just been paid and a lot of offers on holidays end today. We expect this evening to be one of the busiest ever evenings.”
Travel Consultants Isobel and Mark McCardie, from Rock My World Travel, part of Not Just Travel, made almost £4,000 commission in one day and sold more than £30,000 of holidays.
Isobel said: “It’s been crazy busy. It has been our best month and feels like pre-COVID levels. People are feeling more confident and happy.
“Our biggest sales were to Dubai and Lapland, and our top selling destinations for this year so far are Dubai, Portugal, Mauritius and the US.”
NJT said the top-selling destinations across the group were Cyprus, Greece, Spain Turkey and the US.
