Aer Lingus has told passengers that its transatlantic flights from London won’t be affected by industrial action by its pilots, which is due to begin next Wednesday.

It also said Aer Lingus Regional flights operated by Emerald Airlines (with the flight numbers EI 3000 – EI 3999) will be unaffected.

However, the airline has warned that the work-to-rule will cause ‘a significant impact’ on its flight schedules.

In a message on its website, Aer Lingus said: “Our focus is on communicating directly with impacted customers and notifying them of their options.

This page will continue to provide the most up-to-date information. We know that this is very disruptive for our customers and we apologise for the inconvenience.”

Aer Lingus pilots are demanding a near 24% pay increase and have not ruled out ramping up industrial action, including an all-out strike, if the IAG-owned airline fails to meet their demands.
