Advantage Travel Partnership is to hold its annual conference in Mexico next year.
The event will be hosted by the five-star Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort and Spa from 15 to 18 May.
It will the first time the conference has been held at a long-haul destination since Miami in 2018.
Advantage said Mexico had been chosen as an ‘opportunity to showcase the destination as a market that is highly relevant to leisure and business travel’.
It said a recent Advantage survey revealed it is one of the top three long-haul destinations for UK travellers for 2024.
“The capacity and tourism infrastructure of its cities also makes it a premium MICE destination, as business travellers can enjoy the destination whilst attending meetings and conventions,” it added.
The Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres has an extensive range of facilities including three pools, a spa and seven à la carte restaurants. All conference delegates will be hosted in the resort’s junior suites.
