The Advantage Travel Partnership’s 2023 conference will take place next May at the luxury Melia Villaitana in Benidorm.

The three-night event will welcome members and business partners from across the travel industry.

Advantage CEO Julia Lo Bue-Said said ‘the current economic backdrop’ led the decision to stage the event ‘somewhere that was accessible from regional airports, yet still inspiring and of high quality’.

“The Melia Villaitana is a beautiful resort and one that we are sure delegates will all want to experience,” said Julia.

Delegates will have the opportunity to explore the culture and gastronomy of the area, through a range of activities as part of the conference programme, which will sit alongside business and leisure travel content.

While the agenda and line up for the conference are still to be announced, Julia said that the content would be centred around collaboration, connectivity and creativity.

Spanish Tourist Office (UK) Director Manuel Butler says Benidorm has invested heavily in a more efficient model of tourism, which the country wants to showcase.

The resort has been designed in the style of a Mediterranean village and lies between two golf courses, with views of the Gran Bahia of the Costa Blanca.

Advantage Chairman Steven Esom, added: “The conference will give us all a great opportunity to see first-hand how the Spanish authorities have redeveloped this popular area of Spain.”

The event will take place from 20-23 May 2023 and registration for members and business partners is now open.
