Advantage Travel Partnership CEO Julia Lo Bue-Said will lead the UK Outbound Travel Forum’s first meeting in Westminster today.
Ms Lo Bue-Said tweeted this afternoon to say she’ll be joining former Transport Minister Steve Norris and outbound travel representatives ‘to explore how we improve the understanding of the sector and build longer term Government engagement’.
Mr Norris is no longer an MP, but sits on a number of company boards and provides ‘counsel and advice to global operators in infrastructure, property and transportation’, according to his website.
At the end of last year, Ms Lo Bue-Said asked the UK outbound travel industry to fund ‘a war chest’ to lobby the Government for more financial support.
Since then, she says several travel companies have come forward to support the cause, with some attending the meeting today.
