Center Parcs has been forced to cancel holidays to its sites in Elveden, Longleat and Woburn Forest due to damage caused by Storm Eunice.

In a statement on its website, the operator said the storm had been ‘persistent’ over the weekend, delaying the clean-up process.

It said that as a result, all three parks will remain closed until Friday.

The statement added: “We understand that this will be disappointing news for those guests who were due to arrive tomorrow but keeping everyone as safe as possible and maintaining our standards is always our priority. We do not take the decision to close our villages lightly and we hope our guests will understand why we feel it is necessary to take this course of action.

“We expect to re-open the above villages to guests arriving on Friday, February 25.”
