This is one for your clients who love a bit of celebrity spotting on holiday and, let’s be honest, who doesn’t eh?

Holiday parks operator Park Leisure has done some snooping (ie it’s flipped through Hello magazine and checked out the Insta accounts of the rich and famous) to work out the most popular holiday hangouts in the UK.

Cornwall

Given that this is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK it’s no surprise that it attracts some well-known faces.

Among them is TV chef Gordon Ramsay, who actually owns several homes in the county, and can sometimes be seen strolling on the beach at Rock.

Mysterious Girl Singer Peter Andre was seen surfing in the sea in Cornwall, where he also caught crabs with his family, apparently.

Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard and his Love Island contestant brother Curtis were photographed in Cornwall Live enjoying a hot chocolate at Poldhu Beach Café in Mullion.

Several other stars from Rochelle Humes to Jesy Nelson to Loose Women presenter Stacey Solomon and actress Nadia Sawalha have also waxed lyrical on their Instagram feeds about the beauty of Cornwall, having just discovered what the rest of us already knew.

North Wales

Former England footballer Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen are among the stars to be drawn to the rugged natural beauty of North Wales. They have holidayed there several times, staying at least once at luxury caravan park, The Warren. To be fair, it’s a bit plusher than your usual caravan park, it comes with views of Cardigan Bay and Snowdonia and costs up to £5,000 a week.

I’m a Celeb due Ant and Dec spent a workcation (we hope that’s a word) in North Wales when filming last year’s series. They stayed in a £1,000 a week cottage in Penmaenmawr, near Conwy. Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, one of the contestants on I’m a Celeb, also visited Abersoch with family and friends for what she described as ‘an amazing seaside adventure’.

But North Wales doesn’t just attract TV stars, it’s also a big draw for stars of the big screen too, including Hollywood actor Andrew Lincoln and his wife Gael Anderson who went surfing at the Conwy Valley Lagoon.

And of course Britain’s second most famous royal couple, Prince William and Kate started their married life on the island of Anglesey, so if it’s good enough for the future king….

Devon

Among the stars who own a home in Devon is property guru Kirstie Allsopp, whose house Meadowgate (pictured above) near Welcombe Mouth is available to rent on Classic Cottages. Model and TV personality Kelly Brook is amongst the celebs who visited the region last summer, staying on a farm with her boyfriend.

Cotswolds

So many celebs have second homes in the Cotswolds it could be hard avoiding them. Included are the Beckhams and TV presenter Amanda Holden, who owns a thatched cottage there.

Lisa Williams, Director of Marketing and Holiday Sales at Park Leisure, said: “We’re so lucky that the UK has so many incredible holiday destinations, and you can tell how popular they are due to the frequent visits by celebrities, as well as the stars choosing to invest in holiday homes here.

“With uncertainty around holidays abroad, there really has never been a better time to explore the beauty of the UK.”

Park Leisure has 11 holiday home parks across the country, including Cornwall and Wales.
