As far as name dropping goes Montmartre has got quite an edge, being able to name Van Gogh and Picasso as past residents!
It’s easy to see why this part of the city has been beloved by artists – filled with brightly coloured buildings and a rich tapestry of existential and rebellious history, all that’s missing is an architectural marvel – oh wait, it has that too. The Sacre Coeur Basilica sits at the summit and offers a breathtaking view of the rest of Paris. Try not to spill your drink when we get there!
