About the tour
Berlin is a city where history has a way of following you around. Especially so on this walk from Brandenburg Gate to Potsdamer Platz.
We will first learn out about the Brandenburg Gate’s history and its significance to German history. Martin will then take you across the Holocaust Memorial and get to hear about the symbolism and history behind it.
Continuing along the trail of the infamous Berlin Wall, we’ll also pass by the Memorial to the Murdered Gays until we reach Potsdamer Platz, which, over the course of its nearly 200 year old history, went from hub to wasteland and back to hub again!
What to expect
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Berlin with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favourite snack and amazing guide.
The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from the streets of Berlin. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to interact with your guide through our live chat. You can use it to ask questions, chat to co-travellers and make comments (oohs, aahhs, ❤️, 👌 and 😂 are all encouraged).
If you think your guide did a good job you’ll be able to let them know with a tip 😊
