TRAVEL GOSSIP TAKES TO THE ROAD IN 2016
The UK’s largest online travel community and leading social media platform, Travel Gossip, today announced that it will be hosting a series of travel trade roadshow events throughout the UK in 2016. Connecting agents, trade suppliers and relevant service providers, the business is expanding to deliver roadshows following feedback from Travel Gossip members.
Visiting key cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Nottingham and Cardiff, Travel Gossip has partnered with established trade roadshow suppliers, Intervenue. The first event is set to take place on Monday 29th February in Glasgow.
Several leading suppliers have already confirmed participation including Hard Rock Hotels, DFDS Seaways, Philippine Airlines and Voyages SNCF.
If you are a supplier interested in taking part, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The roadshows will focus on enabling agents to learn about supplier products in a fun and informative way. The events will also feature a social element, allowing fellow ‘Gossiper’ to catch-up ‘in real life’ over a few drinks.
Originally launched in August 2011 by Sara Mason-Parker, the Travel Gossip community was created by travel experts, for travel experts, to ask questions in confidence, discover new products and services and share valuable knowledge and experience. Since then it has gone from strength to strength growing to 5,400 trade-only members and over 10,000 followers on Twitter.
Sara Mason-Parker, Director of Travel Gossip, said: “I'm so proud of how far Travel Gossip has come and am thrilled to be taking the social network to this next stage. As you well know, the concept of the group was to enable travel employees nationwide to connect 24/7 - how exciting to be delivering this in person now as well. I'm looking forward to meeting many of you near your home turf!"
Kimberley Smith, InterVenue Director, said: “We are really excited to be partnering with Travel Gossip allowing us to deliver events that are fun and productive for both agents and suppliers, but most importantly allow agents’ voices to be heard face to face, alongside this hugely important social media platform. We know these events will be unique compared to all others and aim to deliver both what suppliers and Travel Gossipers are looking for.”
Bruce Martin, Co-Director of Travel Gossip, added: “Travel Gossip has firmly established itself as the leading online community in travel and we cannot wait to see everyone next year and take the brand on the road.”
