A recruitment company run by a former Airtours and Thomas Cook employee, backed by investor James Caan CBE, has entered the UK travel sector.

Pronto Recruitment launched in February 2023 in Barcelona, run by Sathya John, who has worked for several travel companies, including as a rep and Resort Operations Manager for Airtours, and at Thomas Cook where she was responsible for the placement of over 1800 staff across the UK, Ireland, and North America.

She’s also worked at The Travel Corporation, including at youth brand Contiki and as Contracts Manager for the TTC transport division, Tracoin, and with Airbnb’s customer service team.

Pronto Recruitment has so far been working in the Spanish and Western Europe markets. After securing investment in August from former Dragon’s Den star James Caan’s Recruitment Entrepreneur private equity company, Sathya has expanded into the UK.  

The company has an office in London and James is on the board of directors.

Sasha Stokeli has joined Pronto Recruitment as Business Development Manager (BDM). He has over 14 years’ experience in the travel industry, having worked internationally for Thomas Cook Jet2holidays and Booking.com.
